When I re-rolled horde and leveled up to 70 being guildless, I got the normal amount of whispers that anyone gets, "Want to come slave pens?" "Are you holy? need healer for mechanar" etc., maybe a few whispers per day. Suddenly when I joined Nihilum, the whispers increased dramatically. Sometimes you could have more than one whisper per minute. Most whispers were positive, typical fan whispers. But with me joining Nihilum in blues and greens I had to read a lot of  "are you an alt?",  "Lol your gear sucks" etc.   This kind of whisper spamming is something all Nihilum members can relate to. Many have installed addons to block whispers from low levels. Others simply ignore them. Some fans even level their characters to get past the lowbie level these add-ons use, just to be able to whisper those Nihilum players using them! If you have seen our Brutallus movie from Kungens POV, you can see some examples of all the whispers we get. And yes, Kungen gets the most whispers.

Whispers

Here's some typical ones and my comment on them:

"Hi, are you there?"

Don't ask this! Instead get right to the point and ask your question that you have on your mind. If your question is interesting enough, or we are bored enough, we will answer it!

"Hi link your gear plx lol"

No. We won't link our gear, it's on armory. Why would we ever link our gear? Only time you will see our gear is if you stand next to us and inspect us or check armory.

"Hi are you there?"

"hello?"

"I just want to ask a question.."

"you know just cause you have world firsts doesn't mean you can act like a**holes and ignore me. fu.."

You know, usually when we are in game, we have things to do. We are busy. No time for chatting and questions. It's not a sign of being arrogant, we are simply not automatically ignoring you just because we don't answer!

"Are you Nihilum?"

Please don't ask stupid questions, they will be ignored or ridiculed!

"Where is kungen??"

/who kungen. If he's not online, he can be contacted on IRC and on our forum at www.nihilum.eu. We are not giving out the phone number, street adress, MSN or any kind of personal info about Kungen.

"I just wanted to say that I think you are the best <insert class> and you inspire me a lot"

We might not answer all these kinds of whispers, but I bet most players in Nihilum appreciate them.

"Are you awake!?"

No! For some reason I've got this question last couple of months. No awake didn't change his name to gd, he got gkicked, I am the same gd as I've been since i re-rolled horde in May 2007 and before that Grandeath.

It's allways best if you ask us questions on our forum here on www.nihilum.eu instead of ingame! And make sure to search the forum and the homepage first in case your question has already been answered!

Why do we hate our fans?

You are annoying at times! You spam us with whispers, you clump up in Orgrimmar making it laggy! You ask stupid questions. You create characters on Magtheridon and hence create queues on it! Everyone on Magtheridon hates you for this!

Why do we love our fans?

You cheer for us and appreciate what we do! Nihilum draws strength and inspiration from the raiding community and the interest around high end PvE. I think some tough guys in Nihilum would claim that they don't care what anyone thinks of Nihilum, but I know there is actually love from Nihilum to our fans and the raiding community as a whole! In many ways we appreciate our supporters and thank you for your support! Also we got some of the biggest egos in Nihilum, and they love to hear that they are the best.

Kungen

As the last thing I'm going to say something about Kungen. Many people, being in Kungens position, would probably hate our fans, with the amount of whispers he gets. But he has a soft spot for our fans for sure. Sometimes when a large crowd of fans has gathered, he starts to play around with them. He can run around in Orgrimmar, or outside, and just run with his fans right behind him. It reminds me of scenes with Rocky, or Muhammed Ali the movie, were their fans run next to them. It's funny to watch. Sure sometimes he shows his sadistic side and tries to kill his fans with a kazzakbomb or a big jump, but there's no hard feelings, and they keep playing! It's a fun part of wow culture.
