As you might know I joined Nihilim 3 weeks ago, in this time I have had the greatest of the experiences, raiding with the greatest players ever to step on the Realms of WOW. I know a lot of you might ask yourself.. What is to be a mongo(the lowest of the ranks in here) or a Initiate in Nihilum, some of your questions will be answer in this blog. At the same time I will from time to time update my progress in our raids, with some of the funiest moments that happen either on ventrilo with the great characters that we have there and also on raids .

Ok I know I have been slaking way to much in this my first blog, actually many WOW related stuff have keep me away from the forums, to many hardcore raids(Sunwell), plus a lot of raiding with others guilds to help them out a bit in their advance in SSC/TK has come to me left without any time to dedicate to other maters. To correct the isue I have stoped totally with any raiding or pvp aspect of the game except the Nihilum raids, sorry in advance to the guilds I was helping.
Well with that been said lets get into bussines, what is to become a nihilum trialist. And more concrete my unique experience as mongo first and trialist now.
Well first of all want to say that I come from Conspiracy-Twisting Nether, a great guild with lots of hardcore and dedicated players that made me fall in love with the game and look for the best, is from them that I realized that I would love to go to the best guilds out there, so I asked myself what is the best guild have always been the best and is still the best, only 1 name came to mind NIHILUM.
Ok so after 5 months of farm content in BT with my old guild and with my mind clear and more than willing to try to go to the best place I came to their web page and read that they were actually looking for a Hunter, I though I knew what kind of player Nihilum need it, a dedicated guy that new a lot about his class that though of himself as a great wow player and that not only did well his job but also brought something more with him. I though Nihilum and me will fit perfectly, in everything I do in my life I trie to be the best at, so when I got in contact with WOW nothing else but the best was allowed. I raided as hardcore as you can imagine from karazan till BT, not mising 1 single raid and been the raid leader in one of my old guilds call The Ancient- Spinebreaker server. So great atendance, insane dedication to the game, comitment and knowlege about my class, friendly open mind and fast to correct any mistake I do during raids, those where my positives and the things I could add to nihilum plus some frapsing and some other stuff.
With all that into mind I aplied in the best guild in the world(REALIZE WHAT DOES IT MEAN PEOPLE, 11 million players playing wow, only the best players best organize and more dedicated are inside here, atm we are 56 people some of them playing as casual veterans or members, but still more than willing to help, that means if you get in here you are among the elite you will be among the uniques the relententless the unstopable Nihilim members, you are going to be surrounded by the best 40 players of 11 million so keep that in mind, you have to be the best, no spot for the weak here.), I used this link nihilum.mousesports.com/en/news/552,nihilum_is_recruiti ng/ and it will serve you well since that will be your first thing.
After I did my aplication I created a lev 1 hunter in the server and whisper Ahoq how was my aplication looking and what did he think could be improved or if need to do anything else, he sugested me to go and train leatherworker(was herbalist/alchimist before), thing that I did asap. After 3 days ahoq sended me an email.. "Feel free to take contact with N|Kungen on mIRC server Quakenet, channel #Nihilum.wow", and it sounded easy well it wasent as I found later he is constanly spam and busy doing lots of guild etc. stuff to long to tell, so it took me 3 days of constant irc whisper to actually got a meating with him.
He is the guy in charge of the recruitment as well as many other things so after a 30 min interview with the tipical questions of what is your job during raids.. what do you think about this spec.. do you got the gear for both spec.. what kind of dps did you have in that or that fight.. and then the normal will you be able to raid from bla till bla and the you always need to be fully ready with flask, oils, food etc.. He told me that I could migrate and join as a initiate Nihilum.

So I found myself inside Nihilum, after the initial rush of adrenaline of seing yourself with the nihi guild tab above your head, you start to realize what you have goten into. You start thinking that you might have been someone in your old guild you could easily been one of the best in there or at least a good member, very active and dedicate with lots of skill and all that, then or at lest I started to think that for sure I will find the best in here and that I needed to be totally ready for when I got invited into the first raid. And to my shoock 1 day after I joined Nihilum blizz decided to anounce that on that wensday(I joined monday 25 of march), 2.4 pacth would be implemented. I though to myself, "ok I am so fuck", I did a lot of ptr in sunwell with my old guild but I had no time to show the people of Nihilum what I am worth of. So for the next 2 days I had to admit that I though I had made a bad choice, I really wanted to enjoy the sunwell race, to experience with the best what is to get a world first, and since I had 0 raids before we got sunwell open I was sure I would never get a spot( I still was a mongo in that time). So well here we where, wensday 27-2pm: Kungen didnt think the first 3 boses meant anything, they had been so farmed on PTR that all top 50 guilds or even more would just go there and insta kill the boses, what at the end as usual with what Kungen thinks turned to be so true.. The merit went to SK they started raiding at 11am or so and with all tactics set, they went there and just insta kill everything. For ourside Kallegos was a piece of cake and as I though I was benched, or as others in guild say "Bench mother fuk.. bench". So there I was benched, coming from a guild were I had almost never been benched, I had demonstrated to the other guild that my survival spec and my skill were more than worth it, but as I though I just didnt have time enough to show that to Nihilum, so I had to admit that those 7 hours from 11am to something around 6 pm that was the time they used to kill Kallegos and to do a few hours of wiping in Brutallus have been the hardest of my WOW carear.
And then at 6pm and after 3 hours or so of wiping badly in Brutallus, Kungen decided to swicth some people around to see if we had better results and to my surprise I was chosen to be one of the people to get invited( you have to remember that I still was a mongo, had 0 raids with them and that we had 47 peple online). Well I must admit that as soon as I got inside I just started frapsing and did a toon of screanshots, I dont know is like if you have always been a fan of a football team and all of the suden you are playing for that team, that was my fealing, and I must admint was a great one, we spended around 4 more hours practicing and geting tactics down, I think Nihilum had like no PTR experience almost with Brutallus and Felmyst( I had quite a lot with my old guild by the way), so it came out to be preaty simple for me to follow their tactic. The next day I got invited again and we achive the kill, Felmyst felt down preaty easily the next day.
So I after geting those 2 first kills with Nihilum my road was open to the guild. I did the best I could and some people told me I did preaty well, I guess I was on the good track.
The next 2 weeks we had sunwell on farm, thats one of the great things about Nihilum, you had such great people playing that once you kill a boss the next time you do the same instance everyone knows the drill and I mean the just go in and almost 1 shot everything, there are no stupid mistakes almost ever, no overagross, no healing fail or dps slaking on trash, I have almost never seen anyone go afk in either sunwell or BT, and I have to give all the credit for that to the MTanks, either Kungen or Zuchero they just keep going on trash giving just the minimun amount of time for you to drink so you dont fall sleep when you doing trash, on the contrary they force you to the limit and you see people going wild to get insane dps and healing done even on trash.
So I got a spot on almost every raid of Sunwell( not many items yet, since I am new and well Kungen is staking the people that for sure will be on Muru and Kiljadean first with the best posible items), and on all BT raids with Nihilum. Slowly making a name around, knowing how each person play and enjoying so much ventrilo, o yes VENTRILO, lets dedicate some time to it.
Well there is so many myths about ventrilo, about how some people yell-scream-insult in it, lets get into into and clear things up. We are or at least consider ourself the best or 1 of the best hardcore guilds of the world, that means we expect everyone to be really good and keep up to our name, ofc in live sometimes people just play bad 1 day and some just play bad many days, I would say in here when you are sorrounded by so much skill, if you fail 1 day people will laugh about it on vent blame you and notice that you did this or that badly and thats it, you have a laught about how badly you did that boss and thats it, everything is forgoten in the next raid, but if you fuck up constanly then things will get messy, people WILL TELL, and I think that is a great thing, if you constanly make a mistake, the best thing that can hapen inside a guild is that people notice and tell what you are doing wrong. From my past experience to many guilds fail in here, they are friends for such a lont time that mistakes are constanly forgoten, or they are boyfriends or whatever and well no actions are taken when people do mistakes. I have to say that for me ventrilo keep me so alert and I always find usefull what people say on it, Bananen keep telling me what I am doing wrong and why, same for Neg tks boys if I am to far away to recieve a heling if my position is wrong etc.. those things make you improve and after doing 1 or 2 mistakes, trust me you dont do them ever again.
Another great thing about Nihilum ventrilo is the jokes, and what great charecters we have in, the first one that comes to mind is Ghorok(mates this guy is ...) well from him you never know what to expect, he is usually singing on vent, and yes I mean he literally sings on it what I find hillarius. Like last week on our Eredar Twins world first kill, instead of telling someone he had to many dark debuffs( he had like 16 meaning he would get 80% less healing) he just tell him singing, I almost pee in my pants, we were in p2 and boss was at like 75% and here you got one of the best healers if not the best shaman healer in wow singing to someone to get a fire debuff to remove the shadow since he was not going to spend a chain heal to someone that had 16 debuffs. Another character that I love is Buzzkill, there you have the tipical prototipe of the highest ever dps and survavility guy and the one that is always complaing about how bad our healers are, o yes so many fun times with him and our healers. But trust me he preasuring the healers is keeping them awake and alert to the max. And then almost everyone that speak on vent have their part, Zucc is the tipical deep tank voice...
Not everyone is on our ventrilo and Kungen is never there, he leads the raids by typing, I was shoked at the start I though how the hell is someone going to explain fights strategy etc.. by writing... well trust me he achives that. The people (20) that are on vent we discuss almost everything while we are progresing and if we think something can be usefull we whisper kungen the idea and he decides if is worth it or not.
That is how we ended up discovering the best tactic in Twins actually, Melghor, Kim and Jonny had greats ideas that ended up in a secret tactic that is just pure maded of win and that is having everyone wonder for weeks now. The fun part is I think I was the onlyone that frapsed the Eredar Twins world first kill using this tactic. Of course the video was edited this same day and was up in our private ftp the next day, but we decided not to realesed for 2 reasons: First and mainly we felt realising a video will ruin the fun of so many guilds, once you realese a video people usually wacth it instanly taking out the fun of those wipe fest raids where you are trying to discover things, I have to admit that the 13 hours that I spent on Twins have been the best of my WOW live, we discover every ability the boss had, and we counter it perfectly with position and moving, thats how the game should alsways be. Second we couldnt give away our advantage, the day they open Murus gate we will go start as fast as we can the raid and clear all 4 boses by almost one shoting everything, and we really think the SK strategy was so bad and luck based that couldnt give away this advantege. Now many other guilds have realese their vids and as we though most have just copy SK tactic(poor them) but there are still some guilds that did preaty well cant say which one, but there is a video out there that is very close to our tactic, not as good but good enough to make the fight a lot more easier.
