First game of the playoffs Nihilum Plasma had to take on the American MLG Orlando winners, Orz, now known as fnatic, arguably the best American WoW team at the moment.

The game was a mirror due to both teams playing the Warrior Warlock Druid setup.

The score is 1-0 to fnatic who won the first game in Nagrand Arena.

Carekoala had excellent mana this match having the big upper hand on Hafu. Nihilum focused Azael who went down extremely fast, he managed to slip away from the focus but got finished off by dots since Hafu couldn't reach him in time.

 

Nihilum/fnatic tie 1-1

 

 

 

In the beginning both warlocks trade off dots in the middle while their teams play defensively. Nihilum goes for Azael and in response Fnatic focuses Paperkat as well. Nihilum switches to Hafu instead but she manages to stay alive while Fnatic meanwhile keeps focus on Paperkat for a short while, afterwards they do a focus swap on to Inflame's pet which goes down but fel domination saves the day for him. So far it's a very long and equal game between the two mirrors. Carekoala gets focused but manages to stay alive while Nihilum meanwhile takes out Azael with some focus fire.

Aggressive start by Glick. There's some hard switches on both Hafu and Carekoala but none which are successful. However the massive amount of crowd control and kiting around gives Nihilum an opening on Azael whch leads to a very fast kill and ends the 4th game quickly. 4 very intense games but a well deserved win by Nihilum

 

 

Nihilum Plasma advances to the second round of playoffs where they're up against the European SK. The match is according to the ESL site scheduled for tomorrow, 24/08/08 at 11:00 CET.
