Mirror match.
Match review by mousesports | Xasz
Game 1: Blade's Edge
Warlock are trading dots on the bridge, both teams playing defensively. Paperkat charges in and opens on Glick. Both teams changes their focus to the warriors. Hafu gets caught in a bad position and Paperkat tries to penalize on it. Hafu escapes to under the bridge but gets feared which allows Nihilum to focus Azael and it pays off.
Nihilum 1-0
Game 2: Blade's Edge
Both teams stick on the warriors, but Paperkat is looking for an opening on Hafu while Azael keeps sticking on him. Nihilum gets some damage in on Hafu who drops dramatically fast but she manages to stay alive and gains the upper position on the bridge to heal from above. The warriors duke it out against each other and they each drop low but gets healed up. Fnatic has the upper hand on mana. Innervates are being used and meanwhile fnatic targets Inflame who goes down.
Nihilum/fnatic tie 1-1
Game 3: Blade's Edge
Warlocks trading dots and focus the warriors afterwards. Both teams are playing extremely carefully in this game. Fnatic tries to do a hard switch on Carekoala who manages to stay alive, they quickly switch over to Paperkat under the bridge. Innervates go out. Fnatic does a switch to Inflame who is too far away from Carekoala to be saved. fnatic 2-1
Game 4: Ruins of Lordaeron
Both teams play a lot more aggressively in this game. Azael sticks on Paperkat who is trying to find Hafu but can't, both warriors go at it on each other. Carekoala performs a nice crowd control chain on Azael to try and lock him in one position but Nihilum doesn't manage to get the kill just then. However the amount of healing needed allows for a fear on Hafu which allows Nihilum to kill Azael.
Nihilum/fnatic tie 2-2
Controversy striked in game 5 where Paperkat suddenly disconnected, the second disconnect in a match for Nihilum. The shoutcasters checked the replays and it did show that Paperkat suddenly dropped from 4000hp to 0 due to the disconnect and therefore both teams had to replay the last game. Vhell has done an analysis here.
Game 5 (6): Blade's Edge
Warlocks trade dots and Nihilum decides to go aggressive in order to try and force fnatic into a bad position. Both teams mainly focuses the warriors. Hafu uses her trinket to get out of some crowd control which allows for en opportunity for Nihilum to focus her which pays off, Hafu tries to escape by jumping off the bridge but Nihilum manages to kill her anyway. Fast game. Nihilum 3-2
This means that Nihilum advances to the finals where they'll get to replay SK's Rogue Mage Priest lineup once again on the main stage.
