Beta Servers Going Down

Wrath of the Lich King will be in stores as of November 13. Since the release is this close, Blizzard will be taking the beta servers down at 12:00 AM PST. Next week it's time for the real deal!

Beta Realms Down at 12AM PST

We would like to thank everyone who has participated in the Wrath of the Lich King beta test. We greatly appreciate all of the feedback and you have given us during this critical phase of World of Warcraft's development. In preparation for the launch of the game next Thursday, November 13, we will be bringing down our beta realms at 12:00 AM PST. Thanks again, and see you soon in Northrend!

Patch 3.03 will also be deployed on the live servers this week with probably the last major changes before the expansion. You can find the latest patchnotes here.

This is the patch which will remove the "A Mask for All Occasions" achievement for all the people trying to get "The Hallowed" title. Enjoy the final days of The Burning Crusade folks!

I think blizzard have choosen who would participate on this beta test.
If you had the chance to see what type of players were there, you could see easly that would be extremly hard to find a player geared with tier4 and you could see on each cornor players with tier6/Sunwell Gear.

Ogait you are SO wrong. I got invited and all my lvl 70 characters are badly geared. Saw alot of t4 and t5 on the beta server.

Just stupid, 2 friends of mines got beta invites, and none of em got more than T4 and 1 - 3 T5..

Somebody's jealous he didn't get a beta key. Besides, makes perfect sense to leave the arena gimps out, let the serious players beta test.

Blizz employees who are mainly casual get invites. Their friends get invites. Lots of big guilds get invites. random guilds get invites. random people get invites. competition invites.

The diversity was great on the beta servers. Now my full epic tank goes bye bye tho

Ok ok, so I think Ogait gets the message guys, yeesh.

Trying to think of why you think that is the case, I guess it's mostly as the majority of the players who have exposed themselves in the beta and made movies etc. are famous players and/or well-known ones.

Alas, you can be happy to know there were nubs playing the beta, alot of them.

And yeah, this is coming from a disgruntled non-reciever of a beta key >

Only thing I remember about Beta is lagging like shit on Dalaran. When BC came out, I thought I wouldnt live to see anything as laggy as Shattrath. Two years later, Blizz /flexes, and is capable of doing something actually more laggy!
