EA: Activision Blizzard Lacks Leadership

Jeff Brown, Vice President of corporate communications for Electronics Arts has, in an exclusive interview with GamesIndustry.biz, said that Activision Blizzard lacks leadership due to their recent departure from Entertainment Software Association.

"I think having [Activision and Vivendi] pull out of the ESA reflects an unfortunate lack of leadership."

"They're a big company and we feel that when you're a big company you've got a responsibility to consumers to work on policy issues which are very, very important to consumers. And the best way to do that is with an industry consensus. That's the way it's been done with the ESA in the US, and with ELSPA in the UK."

Really? The Vice President of (Insert Bullshit Position here) has a problem with how another Giant company does business? Wow, we should really do something about this...I mean they left something that's totally voluntary to be in.

You really think that is badmouthing? Wow I guess you have a really low tolerance then... You would rather he expressed his deep love for blizzard and fornicated with a blizzard game manual or something?

Blizzard isn't perfect, not even in viewing distance of perfect. For those who don't understand it, the corporate policy is what the company promises it's consumers and guarantees that they will have. It's then up to the QA team to make sure that their product is in line with their policy.

So, it's not so much about making and reviewing the text of a policy as people here seem to think... And he has a point imo, wow QA has been totally laughable at times, especially in regards to the burning crusade.

This ESA isn't something you have to be a part of to make a quality game. But more importantly we're pointing out that we don't give a fuck what this idiot thinks.

So what are you pointing out besides making shit up about us saying Blizzard is perfect? Are you trying to point out that we should care about this nobody and what he says about a rival game company? I'm not really particularly sure what your motives are....however I know what Jeff Browns are.

Also, learn to be civil in a public discussion, if someone disagrees with you, prove them wrong instead of bouncing off the handle. Also, grow up =)
