![]() | Google has Google Reader (which I use myself and love.). Maybe they can incorporate Google Reader with Google Chrome. But I think the whole idea of Chrome is to be light weight and simple. If you watch the video, one of the engineers says one of the ideas of the browser was to make it so the browser focuses on what you are actually browsing and not all the buttons and menus all around the browser.

| Nihilum Class Leader ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Its fastest browser out there and its open source, meaning this time next week it will have more gadgets than your moms personal locked drawer. EULA thingy has been pulled back, because it was worded wrong, no biggy anyway unless you're a paranoid ****** or american. Only problem with it i have now is lack of mouse gestures and adblock, but first is fixed by 3rd party apps and 2nd will be dealed with soon enough. tl;dr: chrome rocks, stuff firefox, opera and IE in your ass if you like em more, big massive care. |

![]() | Browser like any other piece of software needs UI, of course browser must first of all render pages well and fast but we got that already other browsers do that quite well, I don't really think that 0.2sec faster rendering of Nihilum page makes any difference to anyone. Functionality is next important thing when comes to any software. We all go o different websites and many of us likes to customize their browser in a way that suits their needs, gmail notifier, adblock, del.ici.ous, greasemonkey and hundreds other addons is what makes Firefox fast, customizable and user friendly. On top of that in tests Firefox uses considerably less memory than Chrome. Promotional movie is just that - promotional movie and what devs say in it is not always what they think. I can assure you that google is not a charity and they don't spawn their apps for greater goodness of everyone of us, they do it for money. Chrome has potential to be good, it has good engine and that is certainly most important thing, but apart from engine Chrome looks very poor compared to Firefox. If google insist on keeping Chrome architecture closed and won't allow for addons I predict Chrome to be a niche browser like Opera, fast, good, yet very unappealing for wide public. (all you Opera zealots sit down, I like the browser, is good.... but I won't use it :P) |

![]() | Firefox uses less memory than Chrome? Maybe in the beginning. Leave Firefox open all day with multiple tabs like I do for work, hours later it's taking up stupid amounts of resources. I ran tests with Chrome and Firefox, having the same amount of tabs open to the same websites. 6 hours later Firefox was sky-high in resource usage, making Chrome the winner in my book. But I do agree with you that all those little addons, etc., are nice and can be important to some people. I personally don't use anything like that. The only thing I want in Firefox was the password saving capabilities and the fast speed. I have that in Chrome, but much faster. Oh, and sites open up far faster than just 0.2sec for me with Chrome compared to Firefox.

![]() | The only thing I don't like is the way that little bar shows up on the bottom when you're loading pages or hovering over a link. Always freaks me out. Albeit I have ADD..
