![]() | OH MY GOD, THIS THREAD IS FULL OF SUCH TOTAL IDIOCY THAT I'VE HAD TO POST AGAIN. HERE IS MY INSIGHT. THIS THREAD IS FULL OF IDIOCY. > Hej guys, was woundering, is it possible to play World of Warcraft on school, > if I make a FTP server at home? Thing is, at school I work with a mac, > at home windows XP.. 1.) I doubt an FTP server is going to be what you want. I guess in theory you could download it to school every time you wanted to play, but, you would need to install a mac WoW version at home, and it would take forever to download a full copy of wow to school every time you wanted to play. This isn't the solution you are looking for. > Theik's post. No, remote control isn't what you want. It wouldn't be "a bit laggy". It would be a total comedy farce of unplayability. > Exedings Citrix is a potential implementation of Theik's post, and would also be a comedy farce of unplayability. > Fulkin: stick it on you ipod (any external hard drive will do aslong as its big enough) and just play it from there is the easiest. This is the best suggestion really, assuming it's possible to plug these devices in. Again, you need to get a mac version installed, so you might have to find someone friendly with a mac somewhere not at school, or spend a long time doing the first install swapping CD's / DVD's into the machine. > Windcape: I suggest you get a clue before you start posting about DirectX vs OpenGL. id are famous for showing people the way to go 3d game engine wise on the PC (even if the games themselves aren't always so wonderful), and guess what, it's OpenGL all the way. Doesn't seem much like the 90's to me ?. |
