![]() ![]() | Hej guys, was woundering, is it possible to play World of Warcraft on school, if I make a FTP server at home? Thing is, at school I work with a mac, at home windows XP.. Would be pretty awesome, farming in school for the win. Also, graphic cards shouldn't be a problem, since the mac's on my school are for designing art/websites, or editing movies. Anyone has experience with doing this? |

![]() | A couple friends of mine asked the school if they could hook their laptops up to the school network so they can do their important work straight onto their laptops instead of sending it all the time from home to school and they did, now they can use their internet whilst at school, and can play games ez. |

Even if I could, I wouldn't help him aslong as I don't know how good he is at school and what he does when he's not at school. | |

![]() | If you leave your PC on you might be able to set it up so you connect to your pc from the school mac, using a program that is usually used for long distance PC maintenance. The program itself should be fairly small, so you could easily download it on the school mac (if it works on macs, that is), but you will have have quite some problems playing that way. Ping to send commands from mac to your pc, ping for your pc to send stuff to wow server, ping for wow server to send it to your pc, ping for your pc to send screen info back to mac. Basically, you'd have double the normal MS. That + you'll most likely experience some mouse delays and the like, but it could work. The mac wouldn't even need a graphic card for it to work because the PC does all the rendering and then just sends it to the school mac, meaning the mac has no real rendering work, just displaying the stream from your pc. I used to have a program for it, but I can't remember what it was called. Google remote desktop and you might find something useful.
