![]() | How to boos your own dps, tell the casters to slack! Well on the other hand, until 2.1 I think I got one of the best speccs around for dps, but it require that you have your pet out all the time (or you lose 2% dmg from the T2 BM talent). Optimize your weapon speed is a good thing to do to increase dps, 2.6 is the most optimal, anything faster is not good for a rotation dps, anything slower works, but is not as optimal as 2.6 (ppl saying 3.2 is awsome also but I've not tested the Gladiator Xbow yet to give any feedback about it) Rotation, here is where the most hunters fail and lose auto shots between normal shots, and by doing so losing dps. My current rotation looks something like this: AS = auto shot, MS = multi-shot, SS = steady shot, ARC = arcane shot (rank 1 without a shadow priest prepatch, highest rank in 2.1 in any situation) SIL = Silence shot AS - SS - MS - AS - SS - ARC - AS - SS - SIL - AS - SS - ARC - AS - SS - MS... and so on, might change a bit, just change around the MS,ARC,SIL for whenever cooldown is up on the most dmg giving skill (MS -> ARC -> SIL) Also a protip, DONT use MS near CC'ed targets, it will make your raid whine on you for a week.

![]() | BM is very good too, it makes rotation easier (only one special between autos) yet require more experience and some awareness (?) to keep pet alive yet kicking. Also BM will probably benefit most from 2.1 buffs (pet glance less + new 2 passive skills). It works in Kara, Gruul and Mag. However I do not know if there are some AOE OF DOOM later on that will one shoot our little cannon fodder. Sadly later on in SSC/TK you will end better with MM spec due to some more anti pet bosses. As for build Ahoq have optimal one, I just cannot decide myself which lacking point to remove: - 1 GFTT - 1 Efficiency - 1 Combat Exp - 1 RK - Silencing Shot (quite 5 man talent) I am not sure if GFTT is really optimal one... ![]() | about the rotation u say that u use ahoq u have it on a macro or just pressing buttons one after the other? Cause im trying here and 1-2 weeks to find the "best" dps maximizing macro (so far i have found more usefull the 2/1 steady/auto with manual arcane/multi/aim shot), or if anyone else has a nice macro post it plz (now im using the very simple " /castsequence reset=3 steady shot, auto shot ") P.S. So far to kara and Gruul guild didnt have any problem with my damage, but now we started SSC here and 1 week so is a bit whining about my damage(and cause i dont want to lose my raid spot im searching for everything could help me Last edited by hosiafla : 11th May 2007 at 07:07 AM. |

GFTT is nice, sure there are better things that's why I said it wasn't the 100% optimized, said it was one of the best :P Silence shot, it's good to have on a certain encounter in SSC so it's not only a 5 man shot, + that it also can give you some extra dps as it is a extra shot while ARC and MS is on cd.

2 shots between autoshots means that with ZERO latency and PERFECT timing (anything less than 0.3s or so margin for error is not very feasible) you would need a 3.45 speed weapon with your spec to pull that rotation off. you should switch to: auto->steady+multi auto->steady auto->steady+arcane auto->steady (and repeat if your poste-hasted weaponspeed is slower than 2.5s) If you have a shadowpriest so mana is not an issue, then you could do: auto->steady+multi auto->arcane auto->steady+silencing auto->arcane (you'd have to spec improved arcane shot though which sucks but might be worth it in this case) After a doubleshot, the GCD is cooling down into your next "window" between autoshots. This means that you only have time for one more shot without totally destroying your dps. The reason some people like the gladiator bow is because the slower speed gives more room for error...makes timing the shots easier. It is still not slow enough, unless you aren't using a 15% quiver, to reliably get off 2 special shots between every autoshot and not delay the autoshot. It sucks that right now hunters are weaker than warlocks and shadowpriests for raiding, but now I think I understand where the Nihilum hunter-hate comes from. You guys need to work out some things, starting with your rotations. Last edited by Kheled : 11th May 2007 at 09:36 AM.

![]() | Are you sure you take hunters raiding beyond karazhan/gruuls? The Armory The Armory The Armory cryptstalker stuff in there...and mainly kara gear and some even worse gear. Your all MM and have low AP and crit chance. How can you have good dps with that.... Sorry my first post is negative but im confused, im BM spec and have better gear and stats and we havnt even got to gruul's lair yet. Maybe armory doesnt update your members properly? Or your best hunters left? |

You should take a look at our DKP Page and see how much hunter loot that has been dropped on certain slots (like gloves wich I think you're implying too) Quote:
Didn't seem as I lost any auto shots while doing my rotation according to my AS bar. Gonna try that out and try to give some feedback if I see any difference to my old rotation. Thanks for the theory tho Quote:
AS -> SS+MS straight after SS AS -> SS+ARC straight after SS AS ->SS.... etc.

AS -> SS+MS AS -> SS AS -> SS+AS AS -> SS and your dps will go up a whole lot. It's not just junk "theory", it's how you do decent dps as a hunter.
