About new reborn ui release ..

I know that asking or expecting for a new reborn ui release is kinda too much at the current point of period , considering that in 3-4 max wotlk is gonna be published , so almost all addons are gonna get ****ed up .. , but what about giving some pictures or a diagram with your new thoughs and ideas of how the next ui is gonna be ?

I rly can't wait for your next ui .. , especially the last one was the reason i started wow again..

I think Sarco stated somewhere that this would be that las UI compilation he would publish...can't find it atm, better you search it for yourself.

How about you learn to recreate it yourself? the textures are available, that's all you need.

If i would like to see something created by me , i would have already done it . There wouldn't be any need for me to post this thread , but as u can see i am curious to see the next reborn ui .. all i want is not just to use it but what can this man create ..

I dont have wow installed on my pc anymore and v8 was indeed the last reborn. I might make a new one for wotlk but thats still doubtfull.

it should also be noted that the current versions of reborn are much more robust and self maintaining

with wowace and other automatic addon updaters, combined with many of the addons being developed by teams now and not individuals, its unlikely that reborn will ever be totally screwed up and not repairable again (like it did when Discord collapsed and Lozareth vanished form the face of the earth)


im not saying that there may be some teething issues when WOTLK is released, but it wont be exclusive to Reborn and within weeks all the addons will be working and updated fully. Even on the offchance that something critical does get dropped and no longer developed there are lots of alternatives out there now and im sure someone will post a guide here on how to port it over to a new addon

Just to make sure you got the memo. WowAce will cease to exist as we know it during August, where it'll be moved to CurseForge.

I'm planning on doing a larger writing on this, when Kaelten take the next step.

However, in the larger picture, it won't affect Reborn UI, so what you write is true.
I do however, I think some of the addons used will be outdated, such as Eepanels2 to KgPanels etc.

But it's rather easy to make up for it, compared to when Discord died.

i use wowmatrix anyway, its not restricted to ace mods, it updated almost all addons regardless of weather they are an ace mod or not

and its easy to request an addon to be added to its list if it is not already there

wowmatrix searches for the addon update from the addons personal home page (if it exists) or major sites like wowui wowace and curse

wowmatrix won't work either, when CurseForge updates here in August, and WowAce closes.

It'll only be fetching from wowui which, sorry to say, have a very little repository of addons imo.

I used wowmatrix because of the corrupted wowace last version , it was helpfull but anyway it's not the issue how u are gonna update your ui .(to me at least)

My issue is that like the guys that make signatures for the public , sarcophilus created a unique ui that both helps him playing wow more stylusly and easily , but also contributing to the publics needs giving them a piece of pixelated art that spoils their old boring and tiring interface .. , that's how i see it at least . xD

I rly hope u create a new one at wotlk even if you don't play wow again , i am just curious what's your new creation is going to be ..
