You all fail.
Editing skills combined with nice music:
YouTube - Onyxia by Dark Requiem

Putting all that metal/trance/techno or whatever you pick, in a role play game video is just messed up!

Go speedrun Duke Nukem or Wolfenstein, and make a death metal video allright... but not in a role play game.

Blue Orchid from White Stripes would cut well in an intro/pull shot imo. I'm a rock junkie so I always love a bit of rock. APC ftw btw, love yer work

Trance fits well with the nuke stage imo; tho I can't see any reason why you can't use both if you cut/mix it well. For example: Pull: rock song with wild intro, fade out to a boss emote (it is WoW after all and we love that geeky shit :P), then fade in with some trance for the dps phase.

1) You can never really discuss music over the internet. Just forget about it. People will always have different opinions regarding it, no matter what genre or sub-genre. It'd say any day that I generally dislike trance or techno, but there are obvious exceptions - but basically I prefer guitars and that kinda direction a lot more (rock and heavier, or softer) in general. I still do respect people that have the opposite preferences in music. Also, it'd say you can "discuss" it when it comes to saying which stuff you personally prefer, and why. But agreeing which is good from an objective aspect is the same as continously banging your head against the wall.

2) Discussing whether or not X band is either nu-metal, alternative rock, heavy rock, or whatever is just as lame. People will never agree.

I personally admire Iron Maiden and consider them very groundbreaking for their genre, however I see why a lot of later generations of metal fans don't admire them as much as other people. In 10 years bands that are innovative and do great quality music now will be neglected and not praised as much, simply because people haven't been around to experience them by then. The hyping isn't up to par.

I think that metal too heavy for WoW movies like these, especially when its being watched from a healer, paladin... if it would be a rogue or the main tank its really another thing, because there is a lot of buttons that need to be spammed, in those cases i might even keep the sound on in the movie, because it fit to those classes... but thats only my opinion. I play a warlock and though warlocks are "the masters of dark magic" i dont listen to death metal when i play, but one thing that i listen to for sure is trance, i just think that it trance fits best to my gaming..

I agree with you on all except 2. You can't discuss such things, because when band says they are Nu Metal, and I say they are Hard rock...who will you trust to?
