Fantastic movie, I'm personally not a fan of cartoons at all but The Dark Knight was simply awesome. While some might attribute the hype surrounding the movie to Heath Ledger's death that is certainly not the case, Heath did an amazing job portraying The Joker, fantastic performance and I loved every bit of it.

Must see! 9.9/10

My mom dislikes Batman with a passion but she actually loved this film. Also, I would like to mention that by the end of its first two weeks, it has made $500 million.

Great movie for the parts that I remembered, Joker was great really. I was pretty baked so I don't remember a lot and the Joker scared the shit out of me at first. I liked it a lot.

the film should be named: 'The Joker'

Anyways it was an awesome movie... I always have hated Bataman and those kind of superheroes, but this film was ownage. Heath Ledger really made a great job in this movie, every scene he appeared was just fantastic.

9.5/10

While I admit I was shocked at Heath Ledger's death I never really liked his prior movies and therefore was not as shocked or bothered as I could have been.

I find myself now though deeply saddened because he will not be able to take up this role again. He really made the film what it is and played The Joker perfectly. Don't get me wrong all the acting was good, but Heath was a cut above the rest in this movie. He got that unstable, psycho feel into the character just right.

I really really enjoyed this movie. I especially loved the part when Bruce is talking to Alfred about the guy who stole those gems or something and when he asked why he threw them away Alfred just said, 'Some men don't care about money or power, they just want to see the world burn.'. Gave me goosebumps!

I'm coming to this thread late since I took a while getting around to seeing it but now that I have... omg...

I've found in the past it happens with annoying frequency that the better the trailers and the more excited I am about a movie the more disappointing it ends up being. Add to that the whole Heath Ledger issue and I figured there was such a great expectation that Dark Knight HAD to disappoint on some level. There's no way a movie could be that good, right? Wrong.

The Dark Knight totally hammered my expectations and literally left me staring wide-eyed and speechless when the credits started rolling.

I can't even put into words exactly why I love it so much (without rambling for pages) but I do know Heath Ledger was a big part of it. I'm not just saying that because of his tragedy, I'm saying it because he took a totally unbelievable and fictitious comic book character and turned him into a shockingly believable person that dominated every scene he was in. He left you wanting more and more Joker scenes just because he was such an fantastic character and it was so amazing to watch Heath play it. It depresses me to think of what other characters he may have elevated to that level had his career continued.
